Everyone Is In Sales

Overall, it was pretty solid. I am not a sales person, but since I have heard many times from Zig Ziglar, "Everyone is in sales," it was prudent to get some background.
I liked the way the book was presented: first an ideal situation, then comments by five top salespeople in their fields. The book is a touch on the old side, but the content seems timeless. It is strange to read about concepts like the importance of service. This idea has been espoused decades ago, yet rarely have I found this in companies for which I have worked or dealt. It's all lip service.
I have dozens of business books in queue, and I often discard a book after the first twenty or thirty pages—there just isn't enough time to read all of them. I picked up this book as a lark. I found it for $1 at a used book store. I figured I would give it my twenty page rule, and if it hadn't grabbed me, I would toss it. The book was by no means a page-turner, but it kept me coming back.
Will I keep this for reference? Probably not. It was worth reading, especially as an introduction to sales, but since I am not in sales I will donate it to Goodwill.

This is old school but tried and true, a must read for anyone that is in sales, no matter what you are selling. The lessons that you learn here can carry you to the top.
